Obituary of Ira Hill Jr.

Ira Hill Jr. was born on August 14, 1932, in Tifton Georgia, he departed to be with the Lord on February 23, 2024, at the age of 91. He served in the Air Force for 20 years. After retiring from the Air Force, he went on to work in the aerospace industry at the Kennedy Space Center where he retired from in 1991.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Lore Hill; son and daughter-in-law James and Amy Hill; daughter and son-in-law Brenda and Gordon Teachworth; sister Betty Lou Anderson; granddaughter Brandy DeWind and husband Garret; granddaughter Merissa Miller and husband Justin; and great-grandchildren Jacob Ward, Brystol DeWind, Carlee DeWind, Ashlynn DeWind, Ellie Miller, and Amelia Miller.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on March 9, 2024, at Faith Lutheran Church located at 280 E. Merritt Avenue, Merritt Island, Florida 32953. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the Faith Lutheran Church Trustee Fund, or Samaritan’s Purse.

He fought the good fight, he kept the faith, and he finished the course.
