Obituary of Elmer Frederick Parsons, Jr.

Elmer Frederick Parsons Jr, April 21, 1937 - January 16, 2024

Fred was born in Bridgeport Connecticut to Marguerite Lois Mangle and Elmer Parsons Sr. He married Judith Ann Kranz of Hartford Connecticut on August 2, 1958. They had three daughters and one son. The daughters were born in Manchester, Connecticut ; the son in Milton, Vermont. They moved to Palm Bay, Florida in February 1978.

Fred and his wife Judy were long time active members of Central Baptist Church of Melbourne . Fred helped start and was an active leader of the “Men in Motion” group at the church . He also sang in the church choir for many years. 

He is survived by his Daughter Lynn Diener and Son In-Law TJ Diener, of Palm Bay, Florida ,his daughter Michelle Carson and Son In-Law Robert Carson of Grant-Valkaria, Fl, son Gary Parsons of Melbourne, Florida, son in-law Daniel Calkins of Beaverton Oregon, Brother Don Parsons , sisters Margie Tubbs, and Joanne Kranz, He was also survived by 7 grand children and 17 great grand children. 

Fred was preceded by his daughter Kim Calkins of Beaverton Oregon in 2017, his wife Judy of Melbourne Florida in 2020.  Brother Ted Parsons, Sisters Lois Willison, Kathy Frank, and Dot Cain.

A Memorial service will be held Saturday, February 10, 2024, 3:00pm, at Central Baptist Church 2503 Country Club Rd, Melbourne Fl.
