Obituary of Marie Ann Warner

 

Marie Ann (Mitchell) Warner of Palm Bay, Florida, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loving family and friends on January 13th, 2024.

Marie was born December 14, 1957, in Pontiac, Michigan, to the late Willard J. Mitchell and Vernetta J. (Bates) Mitchell.  Marie married her late husband and soulmate, Dwight Warner, on June 14, 1980, and they had 30 years filled with laughter, joy, love, and adventure. Marie had a long career in nursing and later worked in long-term care facilities, where she used her infectious laughter and joyful spirit to lead activities for the residents. 

In recent years, Marie has loved spending time with her dogs out in the garden or touching the lives of many people she met with her positive energy. Marie was a loving mother and grandmother who took every opportunity to spend time with her sons and grandchildren, imparting her joyful spirit and creating lifelong memories. Those who know Marie will never forget her care for others and her fun, wild humor.

Marie is survived by her sons Christopher Scholtens, Wayne Warner, and Justin Warner; Daughters-in-law Leslie Warner and Cheryl Warner; grandchildren Xzavier Scholtens, Conner Scholtens, Jahari Grant, Jenae Warner, Jazlynn Warner, Kaya Warner and Jameson Warner; Chris’ love Melouzina Oliver and their daughters Nia Yancey and Nicole Yancey; Brothers Willard Mitchell Jr. and Steven Mitchell; Sister Collene Eller and her husband Tom Eller; In-Laws Geri and Michael Collins, Dwayne and Rose Warner; and many extended families including nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joan and Willard Mitchell; her husband, Dwight Warner; and Sisters, Alice McAllister and Vickie Kay (Mitchell) Deo.

A Celebration of Marie’s life will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at 4:00 PM at Ammen Family Cremation and Funeral Care, 950 Malabar Road SE, Palm Bay.
