Obituary of Sean Michael Hartery

Sean Michael Hartery

Although Sean Michael Hartery’s life on this earth ended November 26, 2023, his story is not complete and his light continues to shine ….

He was born July 21, 1983 at Shands Hospital in Gainesville and raised here in Melbourne, surrounded by cousins and friends. Sean was a boy with no fear, an athletic build, insatiable curiosity, unbounded energy and a passion for the outdoors. He took to almost any sport as if he had been doing it for years. Sean was also shy, sensitive, loving and caring. He always looked out for the underdog, stuck up for his friends and loved his family and his dog. His acute intelligence allowed him to drive anything from a motorcycle to an eighteen wheel truck. When something was broken, Sean could fix it.He went to work for A & W Electric company at the age of 15 and had become a skilled electrician. He hoped to start his own electrical contracting company. Over the years, Sean made many friends and remained a close brother and loving son.

Like all of us, Sean had chapters in his life that were dark and stormy. In recent years, Sean took an importunity to influence and impact lives by sharing his story with many others facing similar situations. Sean lived by example and humbly shared so others could find their way back to their own stories. By caring for others, he learned to care for himself. His huge heart and gentle voice of few words echoes to so many he has touched.

The story of Sean’s life will live on, as he is survived by his parents Mark and Pam, his brother Mark Jr., his fiancee’ Brandi and his unborn daughter Ruby, who starts her own story this coming February.

Sean’s life will be celebrated at Ammen Family Cremation and Funeral Care, 1001 South Hickory Street, Melbourne on Sunday, December 10, 2023 at 1:30 PM.
