Danny J. Evans Sr.

Obituary of Danny J. Evans Sr.

Danny J. Evans Sr. has left us to be with God on October 22, 2023, after a long hard-fought battle with cancer.

He is survived by his wife Cynthia (Wells) Evans; son Danny J. Evans Jr. and his wife Courtney Evans, step-daughter Beth (Koonst) Houle; Dan Houle; two grandsons Ryan and Dillon and three Great-grandchildren, Avyanna, and Delilah, and Carter.

Preceded in death by his father, Preston L. Evans, mother Dorothy (Ardry) Evans, and Connie M. Evans.

He was born in Clearfield, Pa., and raised in Williamsport, Pa. He loved hunting and fishing and did a lot of it with his father, and his son Danny J. Evans Jr.

His work in construction took him all over the United States, and even some in the Islands. Because of that, one of his favorite songs was "I've been everywhere", and he had a lot of stories to tell about it.

He served in the U.S. Navy as a Naval Aviator on the U.S.S. America aircraft carrier from 1964-1967. Received Bluejacket Marksmanship award firing 350 out of a possible score of 400. He was a 32 ̊ Mason and a member of the Alee Shriners organization and yes, road motorcycle in the parades.

He drove race cars and his sponsor was Harland Sanders - AKA Colonel Sanders of KFC.

He had a great, (sometimes a little weird) sense of humor and he will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

God bless and keep you Dude, until I see you again.

Love, Dudette
