Obituary of William Merrill Pratt

William Merrill (Bill) Pratt, 80, of Melbourne, Florida passed away on September 25, 2023. Bill was born in Abington, Massachusetts to William and Kathleen Pratt on December 10, 1942. He graduated from Rockland High School and went on to work various jobs before moving to Florida and settling into the automobile industry through retirement. He enjoyed maintaining his beautiful yard, fishing, boating, and spending time with his friends and family - including many beloved rescue cats over the years. Bill is survived by his loving wife (of 35 years) Lise, son William(Tifanie), daughter Diane(Doug), daughter Kristin(Alex), brother David(Sandy), sister Geraldine, sister-in-law Nancy(John - deceased), granddaughter Terie(Anthony), as well as two great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and his in-laws (Paul and Unni, Pete and Trine). He is preceded in death by his daughter Terry, his parents, his sister Grace, his brother John, and his brother-in-law Leon(Mac). Family greeting will be held at Ammen Funeral Care (Hickory Street, Melbourne) on October 14 at 10:00am, with memorial service at 11:00am. Celebration of Bill’s Life will follow at 12:30pm at Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), 4130 Harbor City Boulevard, Melbourne.
