Obituary of Nancy Marie Marien

Nancy was born Nancy Marie Duffy to John and Marie Duffy, and was raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan along with her three siblings, Lester, Leo, and Frank. In September of 1956, she married Robert H. Snyder and together they had four children. She spent the following years raising the same four children as a military wife and moving often across the US, along with a few locations overseas including the Philippines and Puerto Rico. In 1975, she finally settled in Satellite Beach, Florida, where she worked as a Switchboard Operator at Patrick Air Force Base, Florida. She later moved into an admin position with the Accounting and Finance department at Patrick A.F.B., where she ultimately retired. Nancy had a great sense of humor, loved to travel, read novels, and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Traveling was always on her “to do” list, and she set out to see places like Alaska via cruising and rail. She was also able to travel Europe and sailed on the Viking River Cruise thru many different scenic locations. She also enjoyed traveling throughout the US visiting family in Washington, Arizona, Colorado, Michigan, Upstate New York, and Nebraska.

Nancy lost her battle with Alzheimer’s Disease on Thanksgiving, November 24, 2022. She is survived by her four children- Gary Snyder, Julie Stephens, Jeff Snyder, and Cheri Delage, along with her seven grandchildren Jesse, Ross, Joshua, Zachary, Taylor, Keith, and Brittany. May she rest in Peace in God’s arms.
