Obituary of Rosalina Demera

 

Rosalina Demera, (née Martinez-Santiago) went to be with her Lord & Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday December 21, 2022 at the age of 75.

She went peacefully at St. Francis Reflections Lifestage Care Hospice in Florida. God has given her rest from a rare form of Dementia called Posterior Cortical Atrophy and is now at peace after several years of this debilitating illness.

Rosalina was born in Hormigueros, Puerto Rico to the late Hipolito Martinez and Marciana Santiago. She moved to the Bronx, NY and met the love of her life, best friend Jose (Pepe) Demera. Who was there every day, by her side for 55 years of marriage until the very end. She retired to Puerto Rico and after 18 yrs moved to Florida as her condition progressed and all who knew her knows that she hated the cold.

She is predeceased by her 2nd child a daughter Rosaline leaves behind a legacy of family, her children Carlos, Jacqueline, and Veronica. Her beautiful grandchildren, Carlos Jr, Rafael, Natasha, Christopher, Aaron, Emily, Noah, Jocelyn and Jayce.

As well as her great grandchildren, Catalina, Camilla, Elijah, Christiana, Leandro, Henry and great-great grandchild, Kehlani.

A woman of faith and family. She devoted her life to the Lord and her children. She was caring, loving and hard working. Spending time surrounded by her family, friends and enjoying her culture from her beautiful homeland of Puerto Rico. She made sure her family was strong and safe.

Her laughter and love will continue to live on through all of us.

 

We will have a small Memorial service at Ammen Family Cremation and Funeral Care, 950Malabar Road SE, Palm Bay, Florida.

Viewing will be in Sunday, January 8, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM followed by a memorial service at 4:00 PM.
