Obituary of Roy Jesse Kelchner, Lt. Col. USAF

Roy J. Kelchner, Lt. Col. USAF passed away peacefully in his home in Melbourne, FL on Oct. 18, 2022. He is survivved by his wife Lorraine and daughters Lorrie, Heidi, Kimberly and Heather; and late wife Nancy's children Sallie, Tom, Lynn and Sue. Roy had lifelong friends Art, Denny, Dan, Jack and Paul who enjoyed cycling, kayaking, and shooting.

Rpy loved the Air Force and served proudly. He received his PhD from the Florida Institure of Technology, worked for Harris Corp. and worked at Cape Canaveral for many years. He was also an adjunct Biology and Oceanography professor at Brevard Community College.

There will be a visitation at the Ammen Funeral Home 1001 S. Hickory Street Melbourne, FL 32901 on Sunday Nov. 6th from 4- 5 P.M. Roy will be buried with full military honors at the Cape Canaveral National Cemetery in Mims on Monday Nov. 7th at 2 P.M.
