Robert was a lifelong resident of Brevard County, FL, with a true love of the Indian River and ocean. From the age of 6, he grew up fishing the river at his grandmother’s house in Melbourne Beach. Most of his years were spent surfing and fishing, which turned to his life’s work. Robert and his wife owned Wildcat Bait and Tackle for 12 years; they crafted the tackle for the store together and he enjoyed catching the bait to supply the shop as well. They sold the store in 2004, and Robert spent his last years making tackle at home, enjoying the water and spending time with many pets and family.
