Obituary of Douglas Palmer

Douglas Awesome Palmer, 63, of Palm Bay, Florida, passed away on 26 October 2020. He was born to parents Irving Palmer Sr. and Rita Clarke, on 05 February 1957 in Kingston, Jamaica.

He graduated from Wingate High School in Brooklyn, NY in 1974. After high school and a short stint at City College of New York, he joined the Army where he was a medic. After leaving the Army, he worked for the Washington State Patrol

He went on to study at Everett Community College & the University of Washington

Douglas worked as a Quality Assurance Inspector at Boeing for 35 years, retiring in 2014.

He enjoyed playing Basketball & poker, watching sports, food & debating about ANY topic.

Douglas met his wife, Marcia, at the ages of 15 & 16. They were married on 1976 in Gig Harbor, WA. Together they raised two children: David & Daniel.

Douglas is survived by David & Bo (sons), Brittany (daughter), Madia, Cylas, Caden & Cordell (grandchildren).

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marcia and his son Daniel.

Douglas will be sorely missed by several family members and friends.

The family has entrusted Ammen Family Cremation and Funeral Care 950 Malabar Rd SE, Palm Bay, FL.

A celebration of life is scheduled for November 14, 1 pm EST at Ammen's. A reception will follow at 771 Taluga Ave SE, Palm Bay, FL.
