Obituary of Lisa R. Grinmanis

 

 

Lisa Ruth Grinmanis, 59 of Indian Harbour Beach, Florida, peacefully passed away April 21, 2020, in Melbourne, after a long illness.

Lisa Grimanis was born September 4th, 1961 in Albany, New York to Elmer “Rocky” Andrew Grinmanis and Margaret Louise Packard. Her siblings include Michael Grinmanis, Laura Grinmanis, Raymond Grinmanis, and Dan Grinmanis.

Lisa attended Mohonasen High and Colonie Central High schools. Lisa was a certified nursing assistant. She was beloved by everyone she came in contact with. Lisa had an infectious smile and a laugh that was most contagious. 

Lisa enjoyed lazy afternoons on the beach and loved planting and maintaining her flowerbeds. For many years, she bred and raised AKC Labrador Retrievers which always had a special place in her heart. Lisa even had a tattoo of her beloved Yellow Labrador Retriever “Santos” placed on her back. 

Lisa always would put others first and had a huge heart when it came to people who were less fortunate.

Lisa is survived by her father “Rocky” Grinmanis of Indian Harbour Beach, Florida. Siblings Michael Grinmanis and Lisa Vangoey of Delansion, New York;  Laura Grinmanis and Al Koether of Cape Canaveral, Florida; Raymond and Karen Grinmanis of Renslerville, New York; and Dan Grinmanis and Kelly Aitchsion of Milton, New York. Uncles David Packard and Gary Packard of Middleburgh, New York; and Terry Quinn of Federal Way, Washington. Aunts include Delfa Quinn of Federal Way, Washington; Ruth Berzins of Saint Catherine’s Ontario Canada; and Beth Packard of Middleburg, New York. Nieces included Stephanie Margaret Grinmanis and Amanda Lynn Palmer. Nephews include Dan Grinmanis, Newton and Glenn Packard. Cousins include Amanda Steurke and Sara Packard-Hunt. 

Lisa was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Margaret Louise Packard Grinmanis, her beloved nephew Michael Grinmanis and her many beloved dogs, Mojo, Santos, Buddy Bear Bear, and Nausica. 

A celebration of her life will be held at a later date in order to protect the health and well-being of her family and friends during this unprecedented time. Contributions may be made in her memory to Florida Aid to Animals at 321-242-9826
