Obituary of Frank David Cox

Frank David Cox, 71, was called home to Heaven on Friday, March 10, 2017.  Born in Montgomery, AL, he lived in various states and countries before settling in Melbourne with his family when his father retired from the U.S. Military.  Frank served in the U.S. Army on the Hercules Missile Site in Germany. An avid fisherman and shrimper, Frank loved the outdoors.  He also enjoyed his talents as an artist and craftsman.  He was a public works foreman with a long career in road and golf course construction.  He was a "jack of all trades" and ministered to anyone in need as a member of the men's ministry at First Baptist Church of Malabar and was loved by all. A loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, his family includes his wife Edna "Ellen"; his son Cameron Wakefield and wife Lorraine of Rockledge, and their daughter Rachel; daughter Karla Granholm and husband Eric of Sebastian, and children Allie and fiance Anthony Smith, Sammie, Adam, Ethan and Hannah; son David and wife Wendy of Monticello, GA, and children Steven, David and Lisa; daughter Elana Alger of Palm Bay, and children Eddie and Sadie; two great grandchildren, Aubrey (Steven) and Zeke (Allie and Anthony).  Two brothers, Bill and wife Beverly of SC; Kenny and wife Debby of Cocoa; sister, Diane Young of GA.  Frank was preceded in death by his loving parents, Charles and Myrtle Cox. A service is scheduled for 11am on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at First Baptist Church of Malabar, 1665 Malabar Road, Malabar, FL 32950.
