Obituary of Kathy Lucille Wilmeth

Kathy Lucille Wilmeth passed away, Sunday May 29th, 2017. Kathy was born on March 5, 1949 to Joseph Jerome and Rose Marie Pawlenko. Kathy spent her younger years in Connecticut and New York where she learned about cosmetology and met her first husband. Her life continued on in New Jersey where she began to raise her 3 children. Kathy always had a love for the eclectic and enjoyed her art and animals. She spent many hours painting and drawing, including a full-size sun she once painted on her living room wall. As her children continued to grow Kathy shared her artistic love with her sons and her craftiness with her daughter. After many years in New Jersey with life changing circumstances, Kathy began a new life in Florida. Kathy loved the beach and enjoyed walking along the ocean whenever she could. As Kathy settled into her new life and continued to raise her youngest son, Kathy met her current husband John. They enjoyed walking on the beach, fishing, and weekend getaways. One of their favorite places was St. Augustine. So many wonderful things were happening in Kathy’s world; finding her new husband, becoming a grandmother, and loving the beach life. As the years continued Kathy had the wonderful opportunity to become a grandmother of nine. This quickly became her new love. She cherished the time she spent with each and every one of them. Kathy had the wonderful opportunity to open her own business, Kreations Florist and Gifts. She shared this great experience with her husband and mother. She loved the opportunity to take something beautiful and turn it into a masterpiece. Kathy touched so many lives. She had the patience of a saint, the knowledge of an encyclopedia and love so deep for her family you never doubted what was important. Kathy leaves us with memories of her beautiful smile, her spirited personality and infectious laugh. Knowing Kathy means you were fortunate to have spent time with one of the most beautiful people in the world. She will be missed but her love will continue to carry on through her husband, children and grandchildren. Kathy is survived by her mother; Rosemarie (Wasyl) Pawlenko; brother and sisters Gary (Mandy) Jerome, Diane Chwalyk, and Deborah Kramer; husband John Wilmeth; three children Dorn Contursi, Michael (Mackenzie) Diiorio, and Douglas Kramer; and nine grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father Joseph Jerome; sister and brother Joanne and Joseph; son Matthew. Services will be at 1pm on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Ammen Family Cremation and Funeral Care, 1001 South Hickory St, Melbourne.
