Obituary of Richard L. “Pa” Keesee

Richard L. Keesee, 73, passed away at his West Melbourne home May 11, 2015. Richard was born December 10, 1941 in Elkton, MD to Pete and Mabel Keesee. He attended Aberdeen High School where he lettered in track and was drum major in the school marching band. He moved to Florida in 1965 where he dedicated over 40 years of exemplary service to Harris Corporation and received many awards and accolades. Richard founded Keesee Racing as an extension of his love for motorcycles where he, son Todd and grandson Kyle enjoyed numerous regional and national championships. Weekends found Richard passionately rooting for his beloved Florida State Seminoles and Dale Earnardt Jr. He always had a joke at the ready and was quick too bring a smile. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Janet Keesee; five children Terri (Tim) Godfrey, Toni (Lincoln) Sterling, Tami Yi, Todd (Tina) Keesee and Tina Thompson; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. No services are scheduled at this time.
