Obituary of Dwight C. Reynolds

Dwight C. "Tony " Reynolds, 64, died Saturday, January 6, 2016 at Lifecare Center of Melbourne. He was preceded in death by his parents, John K. Reynolds, Jr. and Nancy M. Reynolds. Tony lived in the Melbourne area since 1965. He was a graduate of Eau Gallie High School, Class of 1972, where he was a proud member of the Marching Commodores. He attended Brevard Community College. Tony was a professional organist in his early adulthood, playing in such local venues as Poor Richard's Inn, Old Munich, and several other lounges and restaurants. He worked with pride at Harris Corporation and at the Morale, Welfare, and Recreation Office at Patrick AFB. Tony retired from the Parks Division of the City of Melbourne, where he served for 20 years. Tony was a member of the Lutheran Church, Missouri Synod, at several local churches, and he was organist for other ministries in Melbourne. Tony most recently was served by Because of Christ Ministries. He is survived by his brother Jim, sister-in-law Diane, niece Allison, nephew Sean (Aghavni), grand-nephew Davit John, and several cousins. The family wishes to thank Lifecare Center of Melbourne for giving Tony a loving home, and Holmes Regional Medical Center and Kindred Hospital for excellent care in his recent and past illnesses. We also thank the Hospice of St. Francis for his end of life care. Services will be at 1:00 pm on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at Ammen Family Funeral Home, with later interment with his parents at Florida Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the WISH scholarship fund for families receiving services at the Scott Center for Autism Treatment of Florida Tech (thescottcenter.org), or diabetes and heart disease research organizations.
