Obituary of Tim Arnold Berger

Tim Arnold Berger, age 59, born on March 15, 1958, passed on Friday, February 16, 2018 in Cocoa Beach, Florida. Born to the late Arnold ‘Ray’ and Nadene Berger in Rapid City, South Dakota. Tim was the youngest of four children, and was jokingly “the favorite”. He had a kind and caring demeanor which followed him throughout his life. Tim grew up participating in many sports including football, basketball and track. From a young age he had a knack for mechanics and loved to fix cars. He had a sharp mind and was able to tinker with and fix most anything. Tim served a two year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in North Carolina. After returning he received his Bachelor’s degree from Utah State University and worked at ATK Thiokol for 20 years. He worked as a Manufacturing Engineering Manager, Senior Operations Manager, Continuous Improvement Manager, Facility Engineering Manager and Program Manager Chief. In 2004 Tim received his Master of Business Administration from the University of Utah. Tim continued to work in space engineering and finished his career at Parker Hannifin Aerospace as a Manufacturing Engineer Manager. He truly valued education and was a life time learner. He was a master engineer and was always willing to share his knowledge with others. Throughout his life, Tim loved many recreational activities such as: motor biking, snowmobiling, four wheeling, jeeping, and cycling. He was always up for a fun adventure on anything that had wheels. He loved the out of doors and especially loved the beach. Tim was a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle and grandfather. He valued his family and deeply cared about their well-being. His two daughters were his pride and joy, and he will always be remembered for his love, concern and care for them. Tim will always be remembered for his good natured sense of humor that attracted people of all kinds to be his friend. He was a kind, generous and good hearted man who will be missed by many. Tim is survived by his loving wife, Ruthie Klose-Berger; daughters Jennifer (Shane) Loveland and Heather (Spencer) Slater; stepson Ken (Hemze) Klose; siblings Steve Berger, Debbie Vail-Dibel, Gloria Woods, and five grandchildren.
