Obituary of Charles Lee Kazee

Charles Kazee, Melbourne FL Charles Lee Kazee, age 87, passed peacefully on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at William Childs Hospice House. He was born on October 1, 1927 in Holden WV, son of the late Sylvia Hale Kazee and Sam Kazee. Also preceding him in death were his brothers, Jerry, Max, Sam Jr. +óGé¼+ôButch+óGé¼-¥, and Larry; and his sisters, Sharon Kazeee Willingham and Norma Kazee Bates who had lived with and cared for Charlie for 23 years after he had a stroke. Survivors include his brother, Paul; and sisters, Margaret Drenner, Joann Griesmer, Shirley Clower, Barbara Browning, Letia Workman and Marilyn Perry; and many nephews & nieces including Kevin & (Conda) Bates. After serving in the US Air Force from 1945-1948, Charlie attended Marshall University and worked at various jobs in Logan WV. He moved to Melbourne FL in 1957 and managed Glenn’s Tire for nearly 31 years. He was a Master Mason and member of the Melbourne Masonic Lodge #143 for 51 years. Charlie enjoyed deep sea fishing, bowling, and attending Jai Alai and dog racing events. He especially enjoyed sharing his home with family and friends, entertaining with cook outs or socializing with them after work. The family would like to thank his caregivers, Mindie Weaver and Marvin Land, and the staff of Health First Hospice and William Childs Hospice House. A graveside service will be at 1pm on Saturday, August 1, 2015 in the Masonic Section at Florida Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Health First Hospice or to William Childs Hospice House.
