Obituary of Leonard James Velliquette

Leonard James Velliquette, 50, died Friday, July 17, 2015 after a 2 +é-+ year battle with cancer. He was born in Toledo, OH and moved to Tampa, FL with his family at age 4. After obtaining a degree in Electrical Engineering from Tampa Tech, he moved to Palm Bay to work at Harris Semiconductor, now Intersil. He loved repairing the wafer fab equipment. It was regularly said that he could fix anything. Leonard had an excellent sense of humor and the quick wit to go with it. He always made those around him laugh. He also was an amazing cook and often couldn+óGé¼Gäót help but seize control of the kitchen when we were visiting friends. He was very musically inclined and played guitar for many years. He had quite the collection of different types of guitars. A loving and devoted husband and father, his immediate family includes his wife, Regina; sons, Colton and Cody of Palm Bay; daughter, Alexa and her husband, Ryan of Mesa, AZ. He is also survived by two brothers, a sister, their spouses, loving in-laws, nieces, nephews, and a host of long-time friends. Share memories and sign the family guestbook at www.afcfcare.com.
