Obituary of Donald Anthony Mudd

Donald (Don) Anthony Mudd, age 73, went his Lord on May 3, 2017 surrounded by his loving family and loved ones. He was born to John Anthony Mudd, JR and Martha A. (Nee Rosenbaum) Crenshaw on November 18, 1943 in Louisville, Kentucky. Don was a loving husband, father, brother, and grandpa. He enlisted in the United States Air Force when he was 19 years old and was stationed at Myrtle Beach Air Force Base, Elmendorf Air Force Base, Hickam Air Force Base, Langley Air Force Base, Scott Air Force Base, and Tinker Air Force Base. During his military time, he earned the following medals and badges: Small arms expert marksmanship ribbon, NCO professional military education ribbon, Air Force presidential unit citation, Air Force outstanding unit award with 3 Oak Leaf Clusters, Air Force good conduct medal with 1 Silver Oak Leaf Cluster, Meritorious service medal, and the Air Force Commendation medal. He retired from the Air Force with 20 years and 1 day as a Technical Sergeant. Don was preceded in death by his mother, Martha, his father, John, one grandson, Jaxson and one granddaughter, Sarah Elise. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Lorenza of the home; 7 children, Charlene of Swanee, Georgia, Antonio of Boca Raton, Florida, Donald of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, John of Del City, Oklahoma, Steven of Naples, Florida, Katherine of Shawnee, Oklahoma, and Mellanie of Temple, Texas; 8 grandchildren, Hannah, Sarah, Isabella, Michael, Noah, Ray, Jenna and Cooper; and 1 brother, Joseph Alvey of Louisville, Kentucky and many nieces and nephews and loved ones. His memorial service will be May 5th at Ammen Funeral Home at 2pm. Interment will be scheduled for a later date at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery.
