Obituary of Robert A. Wright

Robert A. Wright, passed away on February 8, 2017, after a long battle with dementia. He was born in Rochester, NY, on May 13, 1925. After his graduation from Charlotte High School in 1943, joined the Marines and served in the Pacific theatre in World War II. He was part of the occupation force in Japan at the end of the war. After the war, he attended Elmira College, where he then transferred to Syracuse University and graduated with an electrical engineering degree. He went on to a long career with the Eastman Kodak Company, and retired from Kodak in 1982. Robert was an avid French horn player, played in local bands and orchestras, and played in the Rose Bowl parade in Pasadena, CA. After retiring from Kodak, Robert and his wife, Ann (Gauthier), moved to Melbourne Beach. His special interests were music, golf, and ice hockey. He and Ann enjoyed travel, cruises, and neighborhood bridge games. Robert’s wife Ann died in 2007. He is survived by his children, Ronald, Joie, and Warren; five grandchildren and several great grandchildren. A private interment will be at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida.
