Obituary of Kathryn Jean Delorme

Kay (Nancarrow) Delorme, 85, died Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne. She moved with her husband Don to West Melbourne in 2002 from Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Kay was born November 28, 1928 in Houghton, MI to the late George and Mary (Cahoon) Nancarrow. Kay graduated from Houghton High School in 1946. She has always remained close friends with some of her high school classmates and her relatives even though she has moved many times since then. A loving and devoted mother, stepmother, grandmother and great grandmother, her family includes her husband of 44 years, Don Delorme of West Melbourne; her daughter, Barbara (Reed) Palmer and her devoted husband Steve of Lorton, VA. three grandsons, Jason, Jonathon and Justin Palmer, all of Lorton, VA; granddaughter Jackie (Palmer) Nelson and her devoted husband Steve, Waxhaw, NC; two great grandchildren, Drew and Leah Nelson of Waxhaw, NC and stepdaughter Michelle (Delorme) Vlahos and her husband John, Bradenton, FL. Katy’s son Donald Reed passed away on September 11, 2012 in Battle Creek, MI. He had two daughter’s; Kristy (Reed) Krastev, her husband Lubomir and their daughter Lily, Las Vegas, NV and Caitlyn Reed, Battle Creek MI. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Mary (Nancarrow) Ingersoll in Kalamazoo, MI. A Memorial Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 1710 Hickory Street, Melbourne.
