Monita I. Cote June 28, 1930 +óGé¼GÇ£ June 23, 2015 Monita Irene Cote, 84 of Melbourne, Florida, passed away peacefully on June 23, 2015, following a short illness. She was surrounded by her loving family. Monita was born in Lewiston, Maine on June 28, 1930 to Henry and Jeanette Poulin. After graduating from Edward Little High School, she worked as a teller at Casco Bank in New Auburn. She later moved on to work for many years as a bookkeeper for Cote & Sons and Cote Brothers. In 1954 she married Joseph Normand Cote and together they raised four children. She was a long standing member of St. Louis Church in Auburn, where she and her husband hosted bingo for many years. She also was a member of the Ladies of St. Anne. Her passions included gardening, taking her children to the beach, crocheting, knitting, playing cards and games, especially with her grandchildren. Her greatest passion was dancing with her husband of 61 years. Monita was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by her loving husband Joseph Normand Cote, son, Rick Cote and wife, Sue of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, daughters, Lisa Blake and husband, Ron of Turner, Gina Roberge and husband, Mike of Melbourne, Florida, and Diana Sargent and husband, Dave of Lewiston; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren; her brother, Leo Poulin of St. Petersburg, Florida; and sister, Rita Callan of Danvers, Massachusetts. She was predeceased by her sister, Paulette Estes of Lynnfield, Massachusetts. There will be a Funeral mass for Monita at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 25, 2015, at Sacred Heart Church in Auburn, Maine. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
