Obituary of Gene M. Casey

Gene M. Casey, 60, passed away November 22, 2017. He is survived by his devoted wife, Rosie; brother’s Michael (Tina), Kevin (Linda), sister Laura Lodes; nephew’s and niece’s, Corey (Sheila), Catherine, Rachel, Megan, and Kyle Casey, great niece Vivian Casey. He is preceded by his parents Neil and Janice Casey, and his first wife Susanne Zisk Casey. Gene was born in Miami, Florida May 21, 1957 and spent some of his childhood in the Philippines. His family eventually settled in Sterling, Virginia, where he met and married his high school sweetheart Suzanne. They were married for 21 years. Gene is a proud retired Navy veteran. After his time in the service he attained his Juris Doctorate degree from Loyola University in New Orleans. After Suzanne’s death he moved to Florida. He was happily married to his second wife Rosie for 12 years. He became a teacher and enjoyed teaching for many years at Riverdale Country School. A mass will be held at Holy Name of Jesus on Friday, Dec 1, 2017 at 11am with a reception to follow.
