Obituary of Warren J. Ellis

Warren Jay Ellis passed away on June 2, 2015 peacefully at home. He was born on April 13, 1922 in Leonardo, New Jersey. As a youth, he worked for the CCC and planted trees out west. He entered the Air Force during WWII in the 46th/72nd Recon Squadron and retired after 22 years of service. He previously resided in New Jersey until 1986 when he retired again as a bridge operator for the State of New Jersey and moved to Sunnyland, Melbourne Beach, FL. He was a loving and devoted husband and father. He was married for 42 years to his wife Louella ‘LuLu’ and they enjoyed traveling, retirement and their many pets. He is survived by his daughter Diane J. Mattson (Roy), daughter Mary Lou Rubino, son William H. Pierce ( Christy); sister Vivian McDonald (Ed); six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Louella ‘LuLu’ Ellis in 2014; parents John and Vera (Tallman) Ellis; brother Donald; and sisters Marilyn and Bunny.
