Obituary of Sanford Antonio Douglas

~Palm Bay, Florida~ Sanford Antonio Douglas, beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and USAF veteran passed away on January 28, 2018, at the age of 55. An astute and witty soul, he was affectionately known as “Tony” to his family, loved ones, and friends. Tony was born on December 4, 1962 to James and Leona Douglas in Vero Beach, FL. He was raised in a loving Christian home and enjoyed a vibrant and colorful childhood. Tony grew up in Melbourne, FL and graduated from Melbourne High School (Class of 1980). His love of aviation caused him to enlist in the United States Air Force at the young age of 17. His military career allowed him to travel all over the world; he considered Athens, Greece as one of his favorite destinations. Tony had a keen sense of humor with a unique way of expressing his views. He was an avid reader and also enjoyed drawing, tennis, soul food, candy and Elvis (go figure). Tony is survived by his parents James and Leona, by his sisters Bridgitte (Darrol), Delbressa (Alvin), and Ellena (Rocky), along with his nieces and nephews, Miriam, Shea’lan, Rocky, Rayshon, Austin, Troy, Derrick, Aaron, Elijah, and by his great niece, Anyla. He will also be lovingly remembered by a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins. Tony is now resting in the loving arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He will be dearly missed and forever remembered by his family, loved ones and friends.
