Obituary of William Huckeby

William “Smiling Bill” Huckeby passed peacefully at home on Wednesday Nov 22, 2017 after a brief illness, with family by his side. Bill was born Dec 13, 1939 in Punta Gorda, FL to Benina & DeLa Hunt Huckeby.  After graduating Florida State University, Bill and Shelley ultimately settled in Brevard Co, where they raised their family. Bill was an adoring husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.  He was a constant source of love and laughter, known for his infectious smile and quick wit.  His happiest times were with family, friends, bluegrassing, and supporting his FSU Seminoles. Bill is survived by his devoted wife of 58 years, Shelley, daughters Cindy Huckeby, Angie (Charles) Brogden, son Greg (Maxine), grandchildren Chris, Alex, Justin, Nick, Zack, Hope, as well as his brother Joe (Shirley) and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his sister, Del Marie and granddaughter Rachel. Arrangements entrusted to Ammen Family Cremation and Funeral Care, Melbourne, FL   (321) 724-2222.
