Mary was born December 1, 1933 to Paul and Annie Elvira Newsom in Fletcher, Oklahoma. She is survived by her sister’s and brother Shirley Caldwell, Vickie Briones, Tommie Newsom, Daughters Camille Swanson, Catherine Urner, Grandchildren Paula, Brandon, Gavin, Stephen, Great Grandchildren Baylie, Dawson, Charra and Shea. Mary grew up on a farm in Oklahoma. She worked in a pharmacy while attending school. Graduated from High School in Comanche, Oklahoma in 1951. She was a home maker until her daughters graduated high school. Later she was employed by Merck Pharmaceuticals. Mary was found in the Spring and Summer in her vegetable and flower gardens. She had great enjoyment from gardening. She took pride in her canning abilities. There was always an abundance of canned goods in the basement. She was happy with her flock of chickens and geese. Growing up she had many a bridge parties where much fun was to be had and many exciting arguments over winning and losing in these events. Halloween was always an adventure in our house. Many a child either would come for the excitement in our home for scary fun or would cry at the end of our walk way not wanting to enter the scary adventuresome event and run on to the next house. Her character was one of love of the earth, family, friends and FUN times. She thoroughly enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was loved by her family and will be missed by all that knew her. Services will be held at a later date
