Obituary of James Francis Morris

James (Buster) Francis Morris, 85, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 14, 2017, with his family by his side. Born in Bronx, NY in 1932, his family moved on to Brooklyn, NY, where he and his wife Gloria started their journey together. They settled in Deer Park, NY until 1978 when they were inspired to move to warm sunny Satellite Beach, FL. A carpenter by trade, Jim launched Jim Morris & Sons, Inc. in Brevard County, a family run business focusing on custom homes. Throughout his life, Jim was involved in various organizations, such as CYO Director of Saint Cyril and Methodist Catholic School in NY, a basketball coach, and Eucharistic minister. Jim’s devotion to his wife and children were the cornerstone of his life and his faith in God was paramount in all he did. James is preceded in death by Gloria, his loving wife of 60 years, and his daughter Mary. He is survived by his sons James (Linda), John (Eve), Joseph (Noreen), and Thomas (Deborah); daughters Kathryn (Wayne Tyson), Gloria (William Braswell), and Patricia (Todd Sheffer); 21 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Visitation will be held at Ammen Family Cremation and Funeral Care, 1001 Hickory St., Melbourne, December 19, 2017 from 5-8 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 5310 Babcock St., NE, Palm Bay, December 20th at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Fountainhead Memorial Park, 7303 Babcock St., SE, Palm Bay.
