Obituary of Jeanne Shoemaker

Jeanne Shoemaker Jeanne Shoemaker passed away peacefully at the Palms in Palm Bay Florida on Sunday January 3, 2016 at the age of 93. Jeanne Shoemaker was born on November 15, 1922 in Springfield, OH. She graduated from Springfield High School. After living in San Francisco, Jeanne and husband Neille moved to Berea, OH where Jeanne worked a long and distinguished career with General Motors. After retiring in 1980 they traveled to Florida for the winters until Jeanne settled in Indialantic, FL. Jeanne is survived by nephews John Lyons, Jr. and his wife Terrie of Springfield, OH, David Lyons of Port St. Lucie, FL, and Jeffrey Barcafar and his wife Diana of Granbury, TX; nieces Jacquie Kendall of Springfield, OH, and Janet Barcafar of Richmond Hill, GA; lifelong friends John and Pam Biddulph and their children; and dear friend Clarice Bowden. She is preceded in death by her husband Dr. Neille Shoemaker; father Corbin Lyons; mother Edna Faust; brothers John Lyons, Sr., and Richard Lyons; and sister Marian Barcafar. Jeanne Shoemaker touched the lives of so many with her class, beauty, intelligence and wit.A memorial service is planned for January 29, 2016 in Melbourne Beach, FL.In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Jeanne Shoemaker to Promise in Brevard, 3040 W.
