Margie Myers

Obituary of Margie A. Myers

Margie Myers finally found peace on June 24, 2015. She had traveled the world many times over but for the last 25 years had called Brevard County Florida home. Margie’s heart and soul went into her career with Boeing at the Kennedy Space Center. Through the years she worked many different projects with supporting the space shuttle. In 1996 she was even announced as a Space Flight Awareness Honoree for the STS – 76 Mission to commend her dedication. Margie’s other great passion in life was event planning. From formal gatherings at hotels, to weddings, to family get togethers, she loved planning them all. She would often spend money out of her own pocket to make sure things were done, “just right”. This is where her creativity and organization truly shined. The true light of Margie’s life was her only grandchild, Zachary Leffler. They share the love of music; her with the piano, and he the viola. His artwork and pictures covered her home. She was most proud of his duties during Civil Air Patrol. Margie touched the lives of so many, and often behind the scenes. She rarely took any credit for good works. Her life was filled with many “adopted” children & grandchildren that crossed her path in life. Many refered to her as “Mama” and “Memaw”. Margie often said if each person would take up one cause all the world’s problems would be solved. No services are scheduled.
