Obituary of Lillian Gorglione

Lillian “Lillie” Linner Gorglione, 83 of Jupiter, Florida passed away peacefully, Tuesday, January 30, 2018 in Melbourne, Florida, after a long battle with congestive heart failure.  Lillie was born March 6, 1934, in New York City, to John and Maria Linner. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband Victor Gorglione.  She is survived by her son, Jeff Gorglione, of Bordentown, NJ, daughter Vicki DeBlasio and son-in-law Marc DeBlasio, of Merritt Island, FL, daughter Laurie Leonard, and son-in-law Bradley Leonard of Vernon, CT,  six beautiful grandchildren, Marc Victor DeBlasio, Meredith DeBlasio, Matthew DeBlasio, Michael Leonard, Jaclyn Leonard and Nicholas Gorglione and brother John Linner and sister-in-law Irene Linner. Lillie spent her childhood years in Manhattan, raised her family in Old Bridge, NJ, retired from Bell Laboratories, and spent the rest of her days in Jupiter, Florida.  Lillie had a passion for the stock market from her first career on Wall Street.  She also enjoyed playing Bridge and Mahjong, decorating her home and spending time in her elaborate garden.  She loved her pool, politics, theatre and dining out with so many friends.  She will always be remembered for her fabulous fashion statements, jewelry, shoes and glitter.  She was brilliant, beautiful and could talk the talk. She was loved by all and will be truly missed. A funeral mass will be held at St. Jude Catholic Church at 204 N US Highway One, Tequesta, FL 33469 on Monday, March 5th, 2018 at 10:30 AM There will be a reception immediately following the service to celebrate her life.
