Obituary of William Frederick Dickess

William F. Dickess of Palm Bay, FL, age 83, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, April 13, 2017 after a short illness in the Hospice House, Merritt Island, FL. Bill was born on September, 11, 1933 in Ironton, OH to Henry and Anna Dickess. He is survived by his loving wife, Anita, of 41 years. His sister, Joanne Shrout of Leesburg, OH and 3 children, Karen Weddleton of Mansfield, PA, Kim (Walter) Goss of Florence, NJ and Karen Gallant of Chatham, MA. He loved his grandchildren, John, Janet, David, Kaitlyn, Evan and Landon, 7 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren. He is proceeded in death by his beloved son William (Billy) Dickess II, six brothers, Morris Gene, Carl Chester, George Henry, Roger Dale, Pete and James Dickess and sisters Sandra Lee, Pamela Sue, Margaret Louise and Laura Mae Dickess. Bill was a hardworking man his entire life and was very proud of his 13 years of military service, including active duty in the Korean War. He also was a police officer and heavy equipment operator for the Town of Wareham, MA, where he lived for 56 years. We, as Bills' loved ones are deeply moved and grateful to God for the privilege of knowing and loving Bill. Through his life we truly experienced and saw his love for God, the joy of salvation that he experienced and the reality of the hope of heaven. Bill was a changed man by his encounter with Jesus in his life. He loved his wife and family, fiercely, faithfully and steadfastly and we are better for having him in our lives. We will miss him so much but know that in God's hands he rests, in our hearts he will live forever…until we see him again. A memorial service will be held at his church, Living Waters Church of God, 436 Nieman Ave, Melbourne, FL on Wednesday, April 19th at 11am.
