Obituary of Lynn Norman Morrison

Lynn Norman Morrison, 78, passed away on Friday, November 24, 2023, in Melbourne, FL. He was born on September 05, 1945, in Statesville, N.C. He was the son of O.B. and Carrie Morrison. He married Maria Tuttle on September 14, 1985.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his stepson, William Tuttle, brothers: Barry (Pam) Morrison and Gayle (Elaine) Morrison; and his sister, Elaine (Charles) Campbell. 

Norman is survived by his wife, Maria; daughter, Nancy (Robby) Sherrill and granddaughter, Emma Pink; brothers; Albert (Ruby) Morrison, Wayne (JoAnn) Morrison, Joe (Karan) Morrison; and his sisters, Imogene (Jim) Stroud, and Marlene Morrison. 

He was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather to his adopted family; Michelle (Mikki) Goehringer, Lee (Brenda) Friedlander, Carl (Kim) Lawver, grandkids; Mallory Lawver, Rachel (Eric) Wilson, Kyle Friedlander (US NAVY),  Zachary Friedlander, Tony (Brittany) Brooks, Tyler (Sandra/ US NAVY) Brooks, Parker Brooks, Jacob Brooks and great grandkids; Ryder Brooks and Tanner Brooks. 

Norman was a loving husband, father and friend.  A decorated Vietnam Veteran who served in the U.S. Army and Army Reserves with Company C 249th Engineering Battalion as a RiverRat.  A true Patriotic American who loved his country and all those who served. 

After over 40 years as a truck driver, he ultimately retired with Merchants Metals, NC in 2009 and relocated to Melbourne, Florida.

Norman loved all his family and would help anyone who needed a helping hand. He was a kind man who loved spending time with family and friends and enjoyed boating and traveling.

A visitation and viewing will be held at Ammen Family Cremation & Funeral Care, Palm Bay Chapel on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at 1:00 P.M. The funeral service will follow at 2:30 P.M.  He will be interred at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery in Mims, FL at a later date with U.S. Army honors.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in honor of Lynn Norman Morrison to Tunnels to Towers Foundation supporting the families of American Heroes - Fallen First Responders and Wounded Veterans.
