Obituary of Kathryn Elizabeth Craig

Kathryn Elizabeth Craig, 91, passed away peacefully on February 7, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. She was a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend.

Kathryn was born on April 23, 1931 in Piedmont, Alabama. She was the daughter of Edd and Mary Kirkpatrick.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Raymond Arthur Craig of 59 years. She is survived by 3 sons, Raymond Craig and wife Kathleen of  Rockledge, Florida, Dennis Craig and wife Joan of Atlanta, Georgia, and Kevin Craig and wife Jill of Melbourne, Florida. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren; Patrick Craig, Colleen Faria, Christine Craig, William Craig, Danielle Craig, and Steven Arkon; great-granddaughters, Kyleigh Craig and Sophie Faria; and many nieces and nephews.

Kathryn was a long-time resident of Melbourne, Florida, and an active member of Lake Washington Fellowship. She enjoyed fellowship and volunteering her time to her church and community. Kathryn enjoyed birds and plants, especially orchids and bromeliads. Her cat, Andy, was her beloved pet for many years. Kathryn and her husband Raymond enjoyed entertaining and cooking for their family. She was often Raymond’s sous chef. She was best known for her amazing homemade yeast rolls, her pineapple pudding pie, and her southern potato salad.   Kathryn was a longtime associate with Sears and Roebuck in Cutler Ridge, Florida, specializing in fashion and small appliances. In addition, she was an Air Force wife for 23 years, as well as a licensed Realtor and Dental Assistant. We will celebrate her life on February 25, 2023 at 5:00 p. m. at Lake Washington Fellowship Church in Melbourne, Florida.  Pastor Jorge Acevedo will officiate.

She will be laid to rest in Piedmont, Alabama on April 23, 2023, alongside her beloved husband, mother, father, and brother.
