Obituary of Kenneth James Corbin

Kenneth James Corbin- 80 (SMSGT USAF Retired), passed away at Holmes Regional Medical Center on December 21, 2022. He was born December 23, 1941, in Berlin, New York, the son of Kenneth James Corbin and Edna Mae Hunt.

Kenneth grew up in Berlin, New York, and graduated from Berlin Central High School. Kenneth joined the United Stated Air Force in 1961 and served his country proudly.

While serving in the military, he earned the following decorations, medals, badges, citations, and campaign ribbons: Distinguished Flying Cross for Heroism while participating in Aerial Flight, Meritorious Service Medal, Air Medal with Two Bronze Oak Leaf Clusters, Air Force Commendation Medal with One Bronze Oak Leaf Cluster, Air Force Good Conduct Medal with One Silver Oak Leaf Cluster and One Bronze Leaf Cluster, Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon, Noncommissioned Officer Professional Military Education Ribbon, Air Force Longevity Service Award Ribbon with Four Bronze Oak Leaf Clusters, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with Two Bronze Service Stars, Air Force Presidential Unit Citation, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award with One Bronze Oak Leaf Cluster, Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross with Palm, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 57 years, Linda Corbin (Merrills); his two daughters Kim Tolley of Palm Bay, FL and Michelle Barnett (Ronald) of Nashville, TN; his 3 granddaughters Alexandria Cole (David), Haylee Tolley, and Kendra Barnett are all from Palm Bay, FL; his 7 great-grandchildren David Cole, Evalynne Cole, Jason Dretzka, Matthew Dretzka, Lillian Morales, Theodore Morales, and Elijah Cole all of Palm Bay, FL; and his siblings Dorothy Stall (Edward), Ruth Daniels, and Jeffrey Corbin.

Kenneth is preceded in death by his father Kenneth Corbin (1894-1961), his mother Edna Corbin (Hunt)(1913-2003), his brother Charles Corbin (1940-2006), brother Edwin Corbin (1921-1986) and his sister Maxine Corbin (Smith) (1944-1988).
