Obituary of Parbatie Raghunandan

Parbatie (Kamal) Raghunandan (Grandma), passed away peacefully, on Tuesday December 20th, 2022 at the age of 97 in Palm Bay Florida. She was born in Canal #1 Polder, WBD, Guyana, on March 6, 1925. She migrated to New York, U.S. in 1984. Two years later, Parbatie moved to Palm Bay, Florida.

She was the wife of the late Ajanauth (AJ) Raghunandan (Grandpa) of Clonbrook, ECD, Guyana and Palm Bay, Florida, USA.

Parbatie was known to many as Mom, sister, auntie, grandma, great grandma, and great-great grandma. She touched many hearts during her time with us.

She was the eldest of four children of the late Motie & Durgee Harricharran of Helena #2 Mahaica (Rice factory). Sister of the late Mohabir (Buddy) Harricharran of Helena #2 Mahaica, the late Rajdai Bishundial of DeHoop Mahaica, Guyana.

She is survived by her youngest brother Dr. Haitram Harricharran of San Fernando, Trinidad.

Parbatie was the mother of 7 - Jawahirlall, Basant, Madan Gopaul, Rabindra, Hemchandra Jadunandan, all of Palm Bay, Florida and Jennifer Udit of Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, also the late Mukutnauth Jadunandan of Lusignan ECD, Guyana.

    Mother-in-law of Chandra, Gomatie, Tejranie, Donna, Ivette, Donna, Data, Indra & Ronald

    Grandmother of 18 - Kumar, Visham, Mala, Umesh, Dolly, Shruti, Suzie, Prakash, Leroy, Anthony, Nadine, Melanie, Renu, Anu, Susan, Kevin, Amanda & Jeremy.

    Great Grandmother of 31 - Sandi, Sasha, Arun, Rickey, Kenny, Sabrina, Rigel, Victor, Jason, Vanesha, Ryan, Steffinie, Saniya, Amyra, Justin, Gina, Dante, Kerrianna, Analise, Gabrielle, Ariyanna, Amiya, Jada, Adrian, Aashna, Anika, Dashi, Nora, Nathanial, Austin & Rose.

    Great-Great Grandmother of 6 - Sofie, Oaken, Caleb, Jaden, Luca & Tessa.

    Parbatie was the Sister-in-law of and is survived by Balcharan & Norma Raghunandan, Khaimraj & Kamla Raghunandan, of Toronto, Canada, Nandini (Sister) Raghunandan of Clonbrook, Guyana, Jasodra Raghunandan & Haimwanti Mohabir of New York City.

Cremation services will be held in Palm Bay, Florida, USA Thursday December 29, 2022.
