Obituary of Martha G. Rudolph

MARTHA G. RUDOLPH

7/4/1934 – 12/10/2022

Martha G. Rudolph passed away peacefully in her sleep on December 10, 2022 at the age of 88 when Jesus took her home to be with the Lord - 15 days shy of Christmas morning when her father passed away years ago.

Martha was born on the fourth of July and always enjoyed a big birthday celebration with lots of fireworks.  She used the red, white and blue decorating theme throughout the house on the inside and outside in the garden areas.  Many birthdays were spent at the Melbourne Chart House, Disney Top of the World restaurant, Disney’s Grand Floridian restaurant or the family barbeque grill which were followed with fireworks.  Martha’s dad called her his firecracker as she was born on July 4th and she truly was the firecracker in our family.

Martha hosted on a rotating basis the First Baptist Church Meeting of the Woman’s Missionary Union (WMU) for many years at her home.  She would peculate a pot of coffee and serve crumpets and tea was well.

She enjoyed a walk around the block with the family after diner each night.  She would wear Ked’s sneakers on her walk.  Bill her husband would make a pot of popcorn after the walk every night.

Martha grew up near a Steak & Shake in St. Louis Missouri and it was her favorite place to eat.  Her favorite meal was a cheese burger with mustard, french fries that were hot and salted with a chocolate milkshake or real banana milkshake.  Upon seeing the Steak and Shake sign the motto would be stated “In sight it must be right”. Heaven on earth occurred when a Steak N Sheak was built a mile from her home in Melbourne!

Martha’s second favorite place to eat was McDonalds, she and her husband especially enjoyed the breakfast at McDonalds.

Martha loved to work in the yard and kept the weeds under control with the help of her husband and two sons, Tim and Mike.  She liked to decorate the yard with various ornaments.

She loved her goodies.  Goodies were Russell Stover or Whitman’s Chocolate, Planters whole cashews, cantaloupe or a milk shake.  Organic fresh ground peanut butter was also a big favorite.

Martha loved Hallmark Greeting Cards.  She loved to give them out and to receive them.  She spared no expense on her cards for all occasions.

At Christmas the following three shows were watched each year: Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, The Charlie Brown Christmas and The Grinch Who Stole Christmas.  She enjoyed the Charlie Brown comic and read it daily.  Martha’s favorite character was Snoopy.

Martha kept a very clean house and was an insurance agent for Webster’s Insurance Agency.  She only worked at Webster’s Insurance Agency and retired form Webster’s after several decades of work.

Martha was very smart and was promoted two grades at one time in grade school.  She did not like losing her friends.  She was a department store window foot/shoe model when she lived in St. Louis.
