Obituary of Lois Ruth Chamberlain

Lois Ruth Chamberlain, 77, Beloved wife, daughter, mother, grand-mother, sister, and friend departed us and moved on to the everlasting life with our Lord in Heaven. Preceded by her beloved husband, Dennis Burnett Chamberlain (USN), in 2009, her parents John and Agatha Walters and brother-in-law Wayne Mackey.  Lois leaves behind their three children; daughters Donna Natale (Late son-in-law, Frank Michael Natale), Sheri Chamberlain-Hartman (son-in-law Kurt W. Hartman, USCG Ret.), and son Daren S. Chamberlain all of Palm Bay FL along with four grandchildren; Ryan Natale (Fiancée Briana Melnick) of Winter Springs, FL, Christopher Natale of Charleston, SC, Hunter Hartman (USA) and Kandra Hartman of Cocoa, FL. Brother, John Walters of Glen Rock, NJ, and Sister-in-law Kathy Mackey also of NJ, and several nieces and nephews.

Lois was born in Brooklyn, NY and relocated to Oak Ridge, NJ where she married Dennis in 1964 and together raised their family. Lois started her civil service career at Picatinny Arsenal and later the U.S. Postal Service. She retired in 2002. Both Lois and Dennis were active in the American Legion Post #423 Milton, NJ. Lois and Dennis retired to Palm Bay, FL in 2002. Lois enjoyed her retirement by volunteering at Sebastian Inlet State Park where she was named Volunteer of the Year. Lois later rejoined the work force at Walmart where she worked for over 10 years before reentering retirement. Lois was active in the Red Hat Society as well as becoming an avid sailor as a cruise ship passenger with over thirty cruises in her lifetime. Our Lois will be missed dearly by her many friends and family.

Lois and Dennis will be interred together at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, 5525 US-1, Mims, FL 32754 on Friday, October 28 , 2022 at 3:00 PM.
