Obituary of Melita Marie Alletto

Melita Marie Alletto, passed away on Tuesday, August 30, 2022, at the age of 64. She passed away in her home in Palm Bay, Florida with her husband by her side. Born to Parents John and Barbara Alletto January 17, 1958, in Rochester New York. Survived by her mother Barbara C. Alletto and Husband Todd Slagoski.

Siblings: Virginia Katherine Savoie, Kathleen (Charles) Thayer, John (Allison) Alletto, AnnMarie (Todd) Miller, Kimberly B. Krause.

Children through Marriage: Aaron (Rachel) Slagoski, Hannah (Samuel) Rodriguez, Kevin (Marina) Slagoski.

Grandchildren through Marriage: Samuel “SJ” Rodriguez, Genevieve Slagoski.

Predeceased by her father John and nephew Charles Oliver Thayer V (Chad).

Nieces and nephews: Ashley (Eric) Schmid, Krista (Spencer) Davis, Lindsey (Tracey) Davis, Robert Miller, Barbara Savoie, Joshua (Amanda) Savoie, Sarah Savoie, Sonya Melita Alletto, John Chandler (Danielle) Alletto, Alexandria (Alexander Riffe).

Pets: Riley Alletto, Corky Alletto.

Many cousins in New York and California. High School friends and work friends from all over the country have reached out with condolences and prayers while Melita was ill.

Melita went to Hilton Central High School and graduated in 1976, Hilton New York. She was well educated, earning a Bachelor of Science, Business, Liberal Arts from SUNY Empire State College, a Master’s Certificate, Project Management from The George Washington University, and a Masters of Business Administration from LSU Shreveport. She managed multiple Engineering Projects throughout her career, ending as a Sr. Manager, Project Engineering at L3Harris Corporation, Palm Bay, Florida.

Melita loved family, friends, dogs, reading, astrology, art, traveling, gardening and nature, as well as many other things in life. She will be sorely missed by all those who were blessed to have known her.

A Celebration of Life for Melita will be on 10 September 2022, from 4 pm – 7 pm at 756 Hawser Street NE Palm Bay, FL, 32907.
