Obituary of Maria Nesbitt
Maria Sanjuanita Nesbitt, of Palm Bay, Florida, passed away Saturday, April 30, 2022. She was born in Autlán, Mexico and spent her childhood in her beloved ranchito, San Antonio de Coronados. She lived in Monterrey, Mexico as well as Amagansett, New York before settling in Palm Bay. She was known to her family and friends as "Juanita" or "Juanis." She bore many titles in her life: daughter, sister, wife, mother, mother-in-law; but her favorite title of all was "Abuela." The joy of her life was her three grandsons, whom she spoiled with unconditional love.
Juanita had a passion for travel, especially throughout Mexico. When times became stressful during a trip she was known to say, "Where's your sense of adventure?" She was always willing to try something new and was very proud of paddleboarding last summer. She was a talented seamstress and her daughters will always remember the care she put into making their Halloween costumes, which included all the Disney princesses. She held an Associate's degree in Accounting and was a loyal Walmart associate for 23 years.
Juanita is survived by her daughters Christina (Christopher) Blackmon of Charlotte, NC and Jennifer (Alexander) Woulas of Palm Bay, FL; grandchildren William Woulas, Alexander Woulas, and Nicholas Blackmon; sisters Bertha Mata Medina and María Felicitas Mata Medina; brothers Francisco Mata Medina and Martin Mata Medina; her many beloved nieces and nephews and her love, Damaso Beltran Saldaña. She is predeceased by her parents, Jacinto Mata Coronado and Magdalena Medina González and her husband of 25 years, Thomas Nesbitt.
A funeral mass will be celebrated Friday, May 6, 2022, 11:00am at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, 300 Malabar Road, Palm Bay, FL 32907. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
