Shannon Marie Rainbolt

Obituary of Shannon Marie Roberts Rainbolt

After decades of battling with chronic kidney disease due to a genetic issue, Shannon can finally rest. She passed away at the age of 47 on March 31, 2022.

Shannon was a true warrior. Even though life was tough for her, she enjoyed life to the fullest degree she could. After her first liver and kidney transplant at the age of 18, she went to school and graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelors Degree in Biology so that she could work in a field that she truly loved, nature and animals.

She loved working with sea turtles and would take every opportunity she could to work with them, even though the work was physically demanding. Although her career was demanding as well and her doctor’s appointments were endless she still selflessly rescued ferrets and tortoises. She took her beloved dogs, Weasel and Molly, to senior facilities as therapy dogs. She was always thinking of others, wanting to bring happiness to as many people she could. She was truly an inspiration to everyone she came in contact with.

Shannon is survived by too many people to mention. She is loved by everyone that knows her.
