Obituary of Clyde Alvin Fox, Sr.

Clyde A. Fox Sr., 84 of Melbourne Florida, formerly of Hebron, CT passed away on Saturday, February 12th 2022 at home.   

Clyde was a devoted husband, and is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Marie E. Fox and three children; Clyde A. Fox Jr. and wife Anna of Port Charlotte Florida, Craig A. Fox and wife Barri of Cape Coral Florida and daughter Cynthia (Fox) Desilet and husband Dennis of Dover Delaware, five Grandchildren and eight Great Grandchildren.      

Clyde was born in Newark, Ohio to the late Beatrice and Charles Fox. After high school, Clyde served his Country as a U.S. Navy Sailor. Later in life, Clyde attended college and earned an associate’s degree in mechanical engineering. Clyde and Marie raised their family and built a life in Hebron (Amston) Connecticut.  Clyde worked for Pratt & Whitney Aircraft retiring after 32 years. During his Pratt & Whitney career, Clyde and Marie were selected to live in Israel for 3-years in support of their overseas operations. Clyde was a dedicated member of the Masonic Order Wooster Lodge #10 for approximately 50 years. He was a 32nd degree Master Mason, served as the Worshipful Master, Lodge Secretary, and Connecticut Grand Lodge Associate Grand Marshal in 2007 and 2008. Clydes humble service to others was recognized by the CT Grand Lodge with the Pierpont Edwards Medal in Bronze.  While raising his family and serving his community, he was very involved with his sons in local Boy Scouts troops.  Clyde enjoyed spending time with family & friends and was a member of the Widows Sons Masonic riders club promoting free masonry within the motorcycle community. He was also an active member of the Hebron, Ct Lions club for many years. Clyde and Marie regularly attended St. Andrew Catholic Church in Colchester, Ct.  After retiring, Clyde and Marie moved to Melbourne, Florida.  Clyde was a friend to all and eager to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.   

Funeral services will be private.
