Obituary of Kathleen Hamilton

Kathleen Hamilton, née Conard, passed away peacefully on January 4, 2021.

A long time resident of Florida, Kathy was born in Trenton, NJ and grew up in Hamilton Township, NJ. Kathy graduated Steinert High School, Class of 1965 after also attending Notre Dame High. She began her work career at Bell Telephone.

Kathy married Phillip Hamilton, also of Mercerville, in 1966 with whom she had two loving sons, John, of New York, NY, and Mark, of Annapolis, MD.

In 1974, her young family moved to Florida where she spent the rest of her life. While living in the Tampa Bay area, Kathy exclusively worked for General Telephone eventually becoming shop steward. After retirement, Kathy relocated to Cape Canaveral. She most currently worked for Viking Cruises at Port Canaveral.

Kathy loved travel with family and the many natural wonders of the Cape Canaveral area. Her beach home was a source of great pride, hosting numerous gatherings for friends and family.

Kathy was the daughter of Eileen Foy Conard and Clayton Conard, who pre-deceased her.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law Christina Hamilton and Tara Santiago as well as brothers and sisters: Clayton Jr., Craig, Margret, John, Beth, Donna, Francis, James and Patricia. She is pre-deceased by her brother Scott.

She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren Cooper, Leah and Anna and numerous adoring nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Mass will take place on Monday, January 17th at 10:30 AM at St. Mary's Parish, 109 Duke of Gloucester St., Annapolis, MD, 21401. No reception following. Masks are required.

A Celebration of Life Memorial will be held in Cape Canaveral, Florida on Saturday April 16th, 2022.  It will take place at 422 Harrison Ave. and the beach, from 11:00 - 2:00 P.M.
