John Thomas Sewell, 76, of Grant, Florida, passed away July 21, 2021.
John was born August 13, 1944 in Lafayette, Indiana to the late John N. and Bertha E. (Terrill) Sewell
Everyone who knew or met him loved him. He was a kind loving soul. He loved his Family and cherished time with them. He loved his old cars and his truck and working on them.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving in Vietnam and Korea.
He worked as a lathe machinist for Documation, Pompano Manufacturing , Combustian Electro Optics, Space Systems Lab, Pompano Manufacturing and Piper Aircraft. He also was a self employed Texaco Retailer and a Professional Concrete Driver with a CDL license for Florida Mining, Cemex, and Tarmac. He retired after 30 years in the Concrete Industry.
He married Mary Julia Ruffino on November 15, 1975.
His family includes his Wife of 46 years Mary Julia Sewell, Daughter Juliann Kacin, Son in Law Christopher Kacin, Grandchildren Brenton Hengy and Nicholas and Michael Kacin, Great Grandchildren Alyvia, Raelynn and River Hengy, Sister Rosemary Anderson, Sister in law LeeAnn Sewell-Coughlin and Nieces and Nephews Patti Tyler, Theresa, Dewey and Yolanda Anderson, Bonnie Garcia, Shelley Martin, Cameron, Christopher, Caitlyn and Nate Sewell, Jennifer, Kennedy and Arianna Travieso and Tamara, Madison and Michael Taylor.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, 300 Malabar Road SE, Palm Bay, Florida.
Interment will take place at a later date at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, Mims, Florida.
