Obituary of Eleanor Catherine "Ellie" Pung Kuebel

Eleanor Catherine (Ellie) Pung Kuebel, 71, of Melbourne Beach, FL passed away on July 27th, 2021 in Melbourne Beach, FL.

Eleanor was born in St. Louis, MO to Edmund and Hennrietta (Schlesinger) Pung on April 13th, 1950. She went to City House and graduated from the Academy of the Sacred Heart in 1968. She went on to earn her degree in early childhood education from Maryville University. She worked for some wonderful schools (Immacolata, Annunziata, Villa Duchesne Oak Hill School, and Parkway United Nursery School) molding young minds and building confidence for more than 40 years. Every student that walked through her class room doors were forever her babies. She enjoyed fly fishing, baking her "beautiful bread", but most importantly being the best nana to her grandsons. She was involved with many AIDS charities and also spent time volunteering at her church.

Eleanor is survived by her daughter, Elisabeth Pung Kuebel (Jason Van Nutt), her grandsons Parker Joseph Cutshall, Tate Robert Cutshall and Drew Edmund Cutshall, her sister Mary Pung Ellis, and her beloved dog Pixie. She is preceded in death by her husband Joseph Henry Kuebel, and her parents Edumnd and Hennrietta (Schlesinger) Pung. She was a beloved sister in law, aunt, cousin and friend to many. Eleanor never met a stranger.

A celebration of life will be held at Eastminster Presbyterian Church in Indialantic, FL on Sunday August 22nd at 3:00 pm with Pastor Charles Reisinger officiating. A second celebration of life will be held in her hometown of St. Louis, MO at a later date.
