Obituary of James Wilson Ritenour Jr.

On Thursday, February 11, 2021, James (Jimbo) Wilson Ritenour Jr. of Palm Bay Florida, loving husband, brother, uncle and son passed away at the age of 64.

Jim was born on December 29, 1956 in Washington DC to James Wilson Ritenour Sr. and Sandra (Eide) Darke. He was a self-employed flooring contractor until his retirement. On July 20 2008, he married Suzanne Hard.

Jim had a passion for music, especially for old rock. He loved to swim, ride four wheelers and simple enjoyed living life. He was known for his infectious smile and his kind and compassionate spirit.

Jim was preceded in death by his father James Wilson Ritenour Sr. and also his father-in-law Robert Kenneth Hard.

He is survived by his wife Suzanne Ritenour, step daughters Jessica (Bryan) Schaffer and Jacqueline Cormier, 3 grandchildren and one on the way, mother Sandra Darke and husband Hugh, sister Bonnie Ritenour and wife Christina, brother Stanley Gulledge and wife Michelle, niece Taylor, nephew Austin and great nephew Landen, aunt Bobbie Thrasher, step mother Mary Anne, sisters Jacque, Debbie and brother Russell Rowe. He is also survived by his mother-in-law Kathleen Hard, sister in laws Debbie Nichols, Karen (Tim) Bleasdale, and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Jim’s life will be held at a late date.
