Karen Oracki

Obituary of Karen Oracki

Karen Oracki, 65, peacefully passed away at her home in Palm Bay on February 23, 2021.

Karen was born in Evergreen Park, IL to parents Edmund and Alvina Brylanski. She was the second born of five siblings. Leaving the cold Chicago winters behind, she relocated to Palm Bay, FL with her family in 1985. In 2020, she retired from Harris Corporation, where she had worked for over 25 years. She also worked for Publix for many years. Some of her favorite past times included walks around her neighborhood, playing cards, going on cruises and watching the Golden Girls. She valued her family traditions, driving her interest to learn more about her Polish heritage through genealogy research. Lovingly known by her friends and family as the “Crazy Christmas Lady” or “Gigi Clause”, her adoration for the holiday was apparent and brought her so much joy. She cherished her time with family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her siblings: Bonnie Jacobsen, Richard (Brenda) Brylanski, Andrea (Doc) Caroe and Michele (Brian) Tully. She will forever be remembered as a loving mother by her daughters: Kristin (Sean) Wickey, Jennifer (Richard) Creighton and Kimberly (Michael) Jaffe.  Her grandchildren Jackson, Reagan, Kennedy, Truman, Grayson, Harrison, Aria, Lincoln, Carter and Charlotte will always remember her as their Gigi.

A Funeral Mass with cremains will be held at 2 P.M., on March 19th at St. Joseph's Catholic Church at 1422 Miller Street NE, Palm Bay, FL 32905.
