Obituary of David Lee Straight

David “Shrek” Lee Straight Sr went to be with his Lord on June 7, 2015. He passed away unexpectedly at his home. Dave was born on July 2, 1953 in Davenport Iowa to Stanley and Elizabeth Straight. He actively served his Country for 26 years in the United States Air Force as a radar technician both overseas and stateside. Married for 31 years and had three children., later retiring as a SR MSGT. He continued to serve in the Civil+é-áService for an additional 13 years at Patrick Air Force Base as a Chief Quality Assurance Evaluator before deciding to retire to spend the time with his loved ones. He+é-áhad a love for motorcycles, time+é-áat the shooting range and spending summers in Iowa with his parents, brothers and sisters. He is survived by his children DJ, Amber and Crysi; grandchildren Ted, Brandon, Kraig, William, Hailey, Marlissa, Wyatt+é-áand Nathan; mother Elizabeth; brothers Stanley and Bob and sisters Cindy, Mary and Sue. A celebration of his life will be held at Ammen Family Cremation and Funeral Care at 950 Malabar Road in Palm Bay on June 13, 2015 at 6:00 pm. All family and friends are welcome.
