Obituary of Conrad J. “Joe” Nadeau

Conrad J. Nadeau, GÇ£JoeGÇ¥, 88, of Rockledge passed away peacefully on January 18, 2015 at Kindred Hospital in Melbourne. Joe was born in New Brunswick, Canada. He was the son of the late Zephirin and Emma Nadeau of Keegan, Maine. Joe was predeceased by his wife, Sally Nadeau, who he was married to for 43 years while they resided in Killingworth, CT. He was a true American hero. He defended and served his country faithfully and honorably for 26 years in the United States Army, stationed in the Pacific. He was a combat veteran of World War II, the Korean, and the Vietnam War, with 3 tours of duty. He was awarded 3 Bronze Star Medals, as well as the Combat Infantry Badge, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal, the Master Parachutist Medal, and the Good Conduct Medal, among other medals, badges, and campaign ribbons. He was a proud Special Forces, Green Beret and Master Parachutist. He was a soldier. He retired from the Army as a Master Sergeant with an Honorable Discharge in 1972. Joe was a proud and loving family man. He leaves a life partner of 14 years, Suzanne Rosser, of Viera; a granddaughter, Jennifer McKenna and her husband, Jerry of Plympton, MA; a grandson, William Nadeau, Jr. and his wife, Janelle of Franklin, MA; his great-granddaughter, Josephine Caitlin Nadeau and great-grandson, Rhys John Nadeau; daughter-in-law, Kathleen Nadeau, of Old Lyme, CT; and a son, William Nadeau.
